Ravensburg, Germany…

Tonio’s aunts and cousins live in Germany and we set off one fine day to meet them. The train ride was pretty awesome, the views on either side of the track are mesmerizingly beautiful to say the least.  Green meadows, cows & horses strolling about, woolly sheeps grazing on a hill,  the lake sparkling and glittering like all the stars in the night sky fell into her….it’s exquisite. We had to change trains a couple of times and relied on the SBB app, which is like a beacon guiding you to the right platform and giving you information on where to get down and how many hours it takes to reach your stop. It’s akin to the infamous irctc website we use to book our tickets, the only difference being sbb.ch works on a much superior and efficient level.
Okay so getting back to my trip, we started early in the morning and reached Germany around noon…
And this was the lunch I had, crepes. It was love at first bite… after this, I tried to have crepes whenever I could, the savoury ones are quite nice with ham and sausages and spinach and cheese filling.
Then we reached aunt’s home and what a pretty house she has, decorated with duapttas and sarees… creating a dreamy mystical feel. This is one of the guest bedrooms…
This is another bedroom…
Check out the ceiling lined with the kerala saree…
This is her living room and the view outside is lovely.
A balcony of sorts… to sit quietly and have morning coffee
Saw this interesting plant, with purple triangular leaves…

Then me and nam went for a walk and the views that greeted us were nothing short of stunning…

Bales of hay rolled up…
An old shed…
A tree laden with green apples…
A small bridge…
Amazing spot…
Flowers beautifully framing a house…
How quaint is this bus stop…
This was the case everywhere we went, ripe apples just lying around..
A corn field…
The fields, the clouds and the skies… breathtaking…
The place aunt lives in, is quite a rural area… hardly any vehicles on the road.
Cows enjoying life…
Even animals have a peaceful life here… before they get eaten.
Me clicking away…
A fascinating flower we found in the fields…
Berries sprouting everywhere…
We plucked a few to taste…
Pretty outdoor area at a neighbouring house…
The view from aunt’s house..
Soaking it all in…
More on the churches we saw in Germany in the next post…
