There’s a farmer’s market in Carouge (a municipality in the canton of Geneva) every Saturday, so we took our parents to attend the morning mass in Carouge church and then we just walked around taking in the sights and sounds of a bustling market.
We then went home, and Nam made this nice mozzarella and tomato salad for us. Vinod, Nam and me went out again to fill gas, and wash the car…and I remember it was so hot, my sister was guzzling down cold coffee. The heat was just picking up and we had no idea July would be this hot. It wasn’t like this five years ago, so while it was raining and the climate was awesome in Nagercoil (hovering around 26 degrees C) Geneva was becoming hotter and hotter and my Father was calling us fools for coming here and suffering in the heat (there were no fans or air conditioning in my brother’s place). So next time while planning a trip to Europe, don’t go during July and August. This is when the monsoon season just starts in Nagercoil and that is the best place to be.
