Drew an angel…
Attended an online ‘Drawing from History’ workshop where we explored the works of the Divine draftsman, Michelangelo – the Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet who exerted an unparalleled influence in the genre of art. At the workshop we explored one of his works titled ‘Studies for the Libyan Sibyl’, the original picture is depicted right at the beginning of this post. Here. I’ve recreated the head….
And this is the foot in motion… this is a quality Michelangelo excelled at. His characters seem alive, because he could capture movement with his deft fingers.
Here are a few pictures that tend to capture motion… like the hand, the toes, and the torso. I didn’t capture the torso well enough… I botched it.
